Steve Jobs himself attributed the passion and creativity with which he drove Apple in part to substances such as LSD.
"When Jobs came back to Apple, he had the experience of a mature manager," says Christian Angermayer.
"Thanks to psychedelics, however, he was able to combine that with the innovative strength of a 20-year-old."
A powerful combination.
With its biotech and tech investments, Angermayer has risen to become a self-made billionaire.
As one of the few Germans, he plays in the premier league of international tech investors.
He had psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, tattooed on his skin.
Psychedelics are not only his greatest success in business - he successfully went public with Atai Life Sciences this year.
"Psychedelics have been the most positive life-changing experience for me," he says on podcast Team A. "In one sentence, I believe psychedelics make you a better entrepreneur and investor."
Atai Life Sciences is a company that uses psychedelics to develop therapies for mental illnesses such as depression.
Medicinal use is about to be approved in many countries.
The use of self-optimization, which Angermayer also propagates, is more controversial.
For example, people with schizophrenia or manic depression in the family are at risk of developing a psychotic episode.
Angermeyer undertakes his trips in the company of a trip guide and travels to countries where psychoedicals are legal to consume.

His thesis: In old age, openness and innovative strength decline, he wants to counteract this with substances such as magic mushrooms.
"For example, I only really understood the subject of cryptocurrencies on a trip," he says.
"Elon Musk is also a huge fan of Psychodelika. He's not the youngest anymore, and I think that's one of the reasons why he shows this innovative strength with which he is miles ahead of the rest."
