Lahore - A violent explosion appears to have occurred in Pakistan.

, on Thursday (October 21) in Lahore, the second largest city in the country with over 11 million inhabitants, a boiler exploded in a beverage factory.

According to local rescue workers, two people died in the accident.

The dead are said to be a passerby and a factory worker.

A security guard at the factory was also burned by the explosion.

He has since been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Videos were circulating on social media showing the explosion at the Lahore beverage factory.

You can see a huge fireball on it.

In addition, there were several calls on Twitter after the accident that the Cavalry Hospital in Lahore "urgently" needs blood donations of all blood groups.

It was initially unclear whether this request was related to the explosion.

Likewise, whether there are other victims of the accident to complain about.

After the devastating explosion, a fire is said to have broken out on the factory premises.

Both the site on which the factory is located and the surrounding buildings were badly damaged by the intensity of the explosion, according to the Nation.

Seven fire engines from the local fire brigade have now brought the fire under control, it said.

A little over a year ago, in August 2020, several explosions of terrible proportions occurred in Lebanon in the port district of Beirut.
