Tickets for local public transport in Hamburg are set to become 1.3 percent more expensive on average in the coming year, according to the will of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV).
The red-green Senate wants to decide on a corresponding proposal next week.
"We know: Nobody is happy about that," said the HVV on Thursday on its Facebook page.
Hamburg - But everything will be more expensive.
The HVV had only raised prices by 1.4 percent at the beginning of the year.
"It is a fact that the costs for fuel, energy, etc. increase and have to be balanced out, the distribution of costs is a political decision," said the HVV.
For example, if the price was adjusted by an average of 1.3 percent, HVV customers would only assume a small part of the actual additional costs.
The greater part is taken over by the city, i.e. all taxpayers.
