Incentives will be paid to employers who absorb disadvantaged populations for work Israel today

The Ministry of Economy will encourage employment in two different ways and will provide the financial incentives through a voucher. NIS 20 million has been allocated to the program.

This week, a government program was launched, which provides incentives for employers to employ workers who have difficulty finding work.

These are, of course, vulnerable populations and incapacitated people.

These criteria are met by people over the age of 40 who have three or more children, with disabilities and who belong to the so-called "diversity populations" - that is, ultra-Orthodox, Arabs and members of the Ethiopian community.

The financial incentives will be given through a voucher to the employer, through the body called the working arm of the Ministry of Economy.

These are two tracks.

One is the Corona track, which includes employers who will employ people with disabilities (those with a medical disability of 20% from the National Insurance Institute, or people with disabilities from the Ministry of Defense aged 18 and over as well as adults aged 40 and over with at least three children).

The second is a junior track, and is intended for those who will recruit professional but inexperienced workers, from all populations for diversity to a beginner position.

Yulia Eitan, head of the Population Employment Administration at the Ministry of Economy, explained: "In both tracks, the payment to the employer is relative to the salary, up to ten thousand shekels and up to ten months."

"This means that the employer is entitled to financial assistance from the state and we share with him the employment costs of the workers," she said.

The moves were supported by the chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Alex Kushnir, and were allocated NIS 20 million.

Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbibai said: "One of the main goals of the Ministry of Economy and the working arm within it is to bring people back into the employment circle in general and integrate diverse populations in particular. Our job is to encourage the economy. "'Employer voucher' will strengthen the existing cooperation with the business sector and provide it with suitable tools and workers from the various populations, in all sectors of the economy and throughout the country. This way we can optimally deal with employment challenges - and this is just the beginning."
