Rome - A ten-year-old boy caused amusement in the Vatican on Wednesday.
At the general audience of Pope Francis, the child climbed the stage - and inspired the pontiff with his action.
According to the German press agency, the boy is said to have overcome the barriers to the spectator area and headed towards Francis.
He shook his hand, chatted briefly and made him sit next to him on an armchair - Leonardo Sapienza, the regent of the prefecture of the papal house, even had to get up for it.

But that's not enough: the boy also watched the employee from the State Secretariat very closely to the applause of the faithful - which threw them a little off the mark when they were reading a text.
The Pope then used the little boy's appearance to praise the boy's childlike qualities.
