The Jena software provider Intershop remains in the black thanks to the booming online trade. Earnings before taxes and interest doubled in the first nine months of the financial year compared to the same period last year, almost to 1.2 million euros, as the company announced on Thursday. After years of losses, Intershop reported profitable growth for the seventh quarter in a row.

Jena - The bottom line was a profit of 764,000 euros in the first three quarters after 402,000 euros in the same period of the previous year.

The third quarter contributed comparatively little with around 40,000 euros.

As in previous years, the months of July to September were challenging, wrote Intershop boss Markus Klahn to the shareholders.

After the Corona restrictions, the summer break for many customers was a little longer, which delayed projects.
