"We were asked by customers to design their new home as a luxurious hotel that includes a master suite," says interior designer Shlomi Ohana. The owner of Studio SO. "Working with them was non-standard, for the better.

They trusted me with their eyes closed and let me lead the project.

They had very clear requirements and they went down to low resolutions, but after we agreed they gave me a free hand down to the smallest details.

There are very special items in the house, such as a tree trunk that has been carefully selected for the space, designed and repainted in a custom manner. "

This is a contractor's apartment that was required for the design towards the end of the project, with some of the changes being made as part of the tenants' changes and some after.

"To create a spacious and luxurious master suite, we took half a room from the apartment and combined it with the master bedroom, designed in a way that creates a distinction between the woman's side - where softer materials and shades are used, the man's side - where we used dark and strong colors and materials. Significantly large space with a walk-in closet, which gives exactly the feeling that the household members wanted to get.

"Continuing to enlarge the room, we also enlarged the bathroom of the master suite and placed in it sanitary ware with an elegant and luxurious look that fits the space: a sink and faucets in a modern design, the brick tiles in the bathroom and more."

The flooring in the house is also not standard and fits in with the design line.

"We chose tiles in the style of light gray marble, measuring 1.20 m by 60 cm, with a discount shape that is also non-standard in the pattern of bricks, which produces movement in general and not straight lines," says Ohana.

Low storage solutions for children's equipment, and high for adults.

The emphasis in the process of working on the project was in the central space.

"The central space that includes the living room and dining area is relatively small," says Ohana.

"To create the illusion of a larger space, we combined the living room and dining area using a horizontal carpentry element on the TV wall, which continues from the living room to the dining area without separation and unifies the walls. In addition, we created living room storage solutions. The older members of the household and serves as part of the design with claddings that continue the TV wall. "

With all due respect to the pampering of a hotel, here live people who love to cook.

Therefore, the kitchen received special treatment.

"The owner of the apartment owns a restaurant and he wanted a luxurious and high-quality kitchen. The kitchen is relatively open and combined with a large island for work and seating. In fact, the kitchen was built around the refrigerator. "The other electrical appliances and sanitary ware in the kitchen are also high quality and prestigious and complete for us the image we wanted to get."
