In the years of legal dispute between the energy supplier EWE and the dismissed CEO Matthias Brückmann, the Oldenburg regional court wants to announce a judgment today.
For Brückmann, the civil case concerns the claim to lost salary and his retirement benefit (Az. 15 O 560/17).
Oldenburg - The EWE supervisory board dismissed him in February 2017 for “a large number of various gross misconduct”.
Among other things, Brückmann is said to have exceeded his powers in 2016 with a large donation to a foundation of ex-boxing world champion Wladimir Klitschko.
The court had proposed that the parties to the dispute reach a settlement.
But this did not materialize.
Brückmann is also threatened with criminal proceedings for embezzlement at the expense of EWE.
The Oldenburg public prosecutor's office brought charges at the beginning of 2020.
Here, too, it is about the Klitschko donation, among other things.
