Kochel - A 16-year-old was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday (October 20) on the Kesselberg.
The Ebersberger was flown into the UKM.
This Wednesday (October 20th) it was the second motorcycle accident on the Kesselberg near Kochel. At around 6 pm, the 16-year-old driver of a Yamaha light motorcycle had an accident in the “applause curve”. According to the police, the young Ebersberger was traveling downhill and fell in the left turn. As a result of the fall, the driver was thrown backwards against the rock face and suffered several broken bones. According to witnesses, the cause of the accident was "a mishap of the novice driver while driving through the curve radius", according to the responsible police station in Kochel. First aiders professionally looked after the injured person and secured the scene of the accident until the emergency services arrived. The injured person was then flown to the accident clinic in Murnau by rescue helicopter.The Kochel fire brigade closed the accident site completely for the duration of the accident record. The damage to the Yamaha is estimated at around 3000 euros.
