Already at the age of 17 Lake Bohbot is associated with female empowerment.
Thanks in no small part to her hit "Diamond", and soon also to the ticking clip she is filming for the Maybelline New York brand, in which she invites girls to take pictures of themselves and send her the result, so that they can also take part in the video.
The clip's message, she says, is "be who you want to be."
On the set (which was built as a teen room and feels like a unicorn exploded in it) we talked to her about the criticism Diamond had received for being spiced up by an act by three men, as well as the division of attention between TV and music, pairings under camera lenses and the upcoming military future.
