In an invested and quite rare event in our districts, the Kislev company (the importer) launched the company's new flagship tire.
The said event was held at the Motorsity race track on the outskirts of Beersheba and was also attended by representatives from the company's headquarters in Hamburg.
At this launch, among the first in the world for a tire, the Continental was asked to celebrate 150 years of activity.

In order to demonstrate the ability of Sport-Contact 7, a number of positions have been established on the racetrack.
One simulated braking on a wet surface, the other escaped an obstacle, in another lot a technical gymkhana track was built and of course the circumference of the track itself was also available to the guests.
For the purpose of these demonstrations, the organizers set up over ten new Audi cars, most with the tire for which we gathered here and some with simpler tires - for comparison.
In a place where we can be impressed by two identical vehicles with different tires - the differences were quite clear.
As time went on and the speed increased, Continental's new tire showed superiority over the (Chinese) tire facing it.
On the track you could get an impression of the Contact 7 on a nimble Audi TT and also on heavier and more powerful cars - RSQ3 for example.
With all of these, the Contact showed 7 high grip levels even as hundreds of horsepower and nearly two tons challenged them within turns.
According to Continental the new tire is mainly characterized by prolonged work on its rubber composition and the internal structure it hides.
They call the rubber formula here ‘Black-Chili’ and claim that thanks to the compound and structure, this tire can combine opposing requirements like weight support of modern powerful cars (electric for example), high grip and also provide a satisfactory longevity.
The growth in this opposing ability compared to the previous generation, they support in numbers.
According to the company, the life of the tires was 17 percent longer than the previous generation, while the braking distance on a wet road was shortened by 8 percent.
The Continental Sport-Contact 7 is a quality tire, it is the flagship of the German manufacturer and is intended, as mentioned, for the more prestigious and sporty side.
The price for the tire starts at NIS 935, with its first shipment to be distributed in Israel in February 2022.
