The new "Miss 50plus Germany" is called Marielena Aponte and comes from Frankfurt.
A six-member jury, including the lawyer and CDU politician Wolfgang Bosbach, chose the 51-year-old on Thursday evening in a hotel in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach (Ortenaukreis) as queen of the over-fifty-year-olds.
Aponte replaces Tatjana Jünger, who won the title in 2019.
Bad Peterstal-Griesbach - In 2020 the event was canceled due to corona.
Around 2000 women had applied for this year's competition, ten had finally been selected and traveled to the Black Forest for the finals.
The participants, aged between 51 and 65, came from Hamburg, Hesse, Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia.
