(CNN Spanish) -
The government of Mexico made various accusations on Wednesday related to video games and their negative influence that they can have on childhood.
Specifically, government officials, including President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, spoke of the possible risks to children from playing online video games without adult supervision.
Criticisms were made regarding a specific game, "Garena Free Fire", which can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS devices, and according to the Mexican government there are no "real" restrictions when downloading it.
In addition, the government mentioned a case where organized crime used this game to recruit and then kidnap three minors.
