More and more children are living in Finsing.
This also affects kindergartens and schools: more space is needed for the girls and boys.
Finsing
- Finsing's offspring play a major role in the community.
The kindergartens Am Park in Eicherloh as well as St. Georg and Zur Sonnwend in Neufinsing are well used with 56, 86 and 85 children, respectively, explained Mayor Max Kressirer in the citizens' meeting.
A total of 43 children attend the day nursery and 14 attend the after-school care center.
After this year's expansion of the Zur Sonnwend daycare center (EUR 3.4 million costs), its outdoor facilities will follow in 2022 (EUR 600,000).
It is also planned to renovate the old part of the building for 1.3 million euros in terms of energy.
Something similar is planned for the Am Park facility, but not until 2024.
Despite the wide range of support services, Finsing “still has a capacity deficit,” said Kressirer.
For this reason, the municipality is considering, together with the provider, Kinderland PLUS gGmbH, the request for a natural kindergarten.
A possible location for a site trailer would be on a meadow in Neufinsing on the Saurüssel. Talks are to be held with the Lower Nature Conservation Authority in this regard. The nature kindergarten could possibly start as early as September 2022, said Kressirer. In its meeting on Monday, October 25, the municipal council will deal with the nature group (7.30 p.m., hall of the Eicherloh community center).
The Finsinger elementary and middle school are currently attended by 491 students, the majority of whom (299) are of elementary school age. As the five-year statistics show, the number of students could soon rise to 584. That's why there is still a lot planned for the school. The acoustic upgrading of the corridors and the eastern staircase as well as the conversion of a physics room are budgeted for in this year's budget. To expand the school, the Heilmaier planning group developed a proposal that was recently presented to the school association (report to follow). A cafeteria and new specialist rooms are to be created. However, Kressirer already warned: “We will have to say goodbye to the sums set in the budget.” Six million euros were originally targeted, but the committee was hoping for four million. Kressirer:"Both will certainly not happen."
