More corona cases after the party in Berghain

After the Berlin techno club Berghain reopened at the beginning of October, further corona infections became known.

The health department of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office is aware of cases in the "single-digit range", said a spokeswoman for the authorities on Thursday.

Those affected lived in Friedrichhain-Kreuzberg and two other Berlin districts.

The Berghain party-goers were recommended by the district to have themselves tested and, if symptoms occur, a PCR test.

The club itself has so far not given a response on request.

The 2G rule applied at the events, according to which guests must have recovered or be vaccinated.

According to the authorities, the outbreak was not the first of its kind in the district.

Infections in the lower double-digit range were also known at other 2G events in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, the spokeswoman said.
