District - The around 150 painters and varnishers in the Starnberg district are reaping more money.
Skilled workers now have an hourly wage of 17.51 euros - 2.1 percent more than before.
This is communicated by IG BAU Oberbayern and advises employees in the region to check the latest pay slips.
District Chairman Michael Müller explains that the plus must be on the account as early as the May statement.
But there are always bosses who like to avoid a wage increase.
IG BAU recommends that anyone who has received nothing so far should therefore contact the union and request the wage increase retrospectively.
“The construction industry is booming - even in times of the pandemic.
The painting companies benefit from this.
Now the employees are finally getting a fair share of the good sales development, ”said Müller.
Experts with a journeyman's certificate should not sell themselves below their value and insist on payment according to the tariff.
Union members whose company is in the painters' guild are entitled to the collective wage.
In addition, the minimum wages in the painting and varnishing trade have risen.
Skilled workers currently have to receive at least 13.80 euros per hour - an increase of 2.2 percent.
Employees without training are entitled to an hourly wage of EUR 11.40 (plus 2.7 percent).
“These wages are only an absolute lower limit.
Especially with a view to the current boom in the construction ancillary trade, experts should insist on the significantly higher collective wage, ”emphasizes IG BAU.
