More than a year and a half ago, the prosecution filed an indictment against Kobi, according to which in 2012 he established the "Land" group, which traded in exclusive options for buying agricultural land.

The group offered the general public an investment in agricultural real estate, but due to Kobi's fraudulent acts in 2016, a land group collapsed and he himself went into bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings.

As stated, since the filing of the indictment, by the array of companies he established through company registrations and the establishment of false accounts, together with Adv. Shahar, the defendant with him in the indictment, Kobi has enjoyed revenues of about NIS 72 million, which he transferred to "straw accounts" in order to hide His assets are from his creditors, the court and the authorities.

Kobi is accused of running the company by fraud, sending hands and using severe violence, including extorting attorney's threats to steal NIS 3 million from trust accounts. Kobi would show up at the attorney's house late at night and attack him with a stick, while That he threatens to bury his family if he does not steal the money for him. He is also accused of threatening "Straw Woman" from the array of companies he founded, attacking and blackmailing her with explicit threats such as "I put you and your mother in a virtue next to your father on Sunday; wait and see who Oren Kobi is this time ... On the basis of the assets that Kobi managed to obtain in his violent ways, while presenting a false representation of his financial situation and through false representations that Adv. Shachar made with him, the president of the district court approved a beneficial creditors agreement that removed the restrictions imposed on him. Kobi used the money he defrauded, obtained it violently and laundered it, in order to meet the payment terms set, while hiding his assets and preventing the disclosure of his criminal acts using third parties. He is also accused of transferring NIS 19 million to his personal use.

In addition, and in order to pocket money and evade tax, Kobi transferred over NIS 8 million from one of the companies 'coffers to his personal needs without registering as required in the companies' books.
