A doctor widow from Tegernsee was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband at the end of 2020.

The Federal Court of Justice has now decided: the woman can still keep her survivor's pension.

Tegernsee

- Two and a half years after her husband was found dead in their shared apartment in Tegernsee, his widow was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in December 2020. The Munich II district court saw it as proven that the now 50-year-old woman - a trained nurse - killed her husband with lethal injection. The particular gravity of the guilt was also determined. This means that early release from prison after 15 years is legally possible, but practically impossible.

According to a message from Thursday (October 21), the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe has now decided that the Tegernsee may now keep the survivor's pension that was initially withdrawn.

The sum was not an asset obtained through the murder, according to the

in the verdict.

The guilty verdict and the sentence of the Regional Court Munich II from December 2020 remain unaffected.

These were "free from legal errors".
