Surprisingly the best game of the first round came from the Big Apple.
Jaylen Brown recorded a wonderful career-high 46 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists but that did not help his team win at Madison Square Garden.
The first overtime was arranged by Marcus Smart with a 3-pointer that tied a tie and disorder in both teams on the floor forced the second overtime when the unending Derek Rose stood out for the host.
Julius Randall provided 35 points in New York while Owen Fournier assisted him with 32. At the Celtics, Jason Taitum finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds but his help to Brown did not help in the end.

New Orleans - Philadelphia 117: 97
As the affair surrounding Ben Simmons and the problems the Australian is having with the Seacars are not over, his friends have proven they do not really need him.
A team that owns Joel Ambide, Tobias Harris and Furkan Kurkmaz should not have a hard time against the host who played without its star - Zion Williamson.
