An unknown man attacked a post office in Pfungstadt in southern Hesse on Thursday.
An employee was injured, the police said.
The 46-year-old was taken to a hospital.
According to the information, the man had entered the branch in the morning, demanded cash and pushed the woman to the ground.
Among other things, he is said to have used a stun gun.
Pfungstadt - The perpetrator then fled in an unknown direction with around 1000 euros in cash.
The search for him was initially unsuccessful.
