Following a request from Yossi Arabich, chairman of the "For You" association, to the director general of the National Insurance Institute, the matter was referred to the director of the disability department and the doctor of the National Insurance Institute.

Corona recoverers are expected to receive a disability pension soon?

Following a request sent by the chairman of the "For You" association, Yossi Arabich, to Meir Spiegler, the director general of the National Insurance Institute, the National Insurance Institute announced that it is considering recognizing Corona recoverers who suffer from side effects, in order to determine disability percentages.

Arablich noted in his appeal to Spiegler and the Minister of Welfare that the request was born as a result of the large number of inquiries to his organization specializing in medical guidance and counseling - with patients from all over the country and abroad indicating that they are unable to function and return to work regularly.

Rabbi Arabich emphasized in his letter that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the medical consultants of "For Yours" have witnessed hundreds of weekly inquiries from the recovering, seeking guidance and counseling to deal with the side effects left on their body by the virus.

"Some have difficulty returning to their daily routine, suffer from chronic fatigue, exhaustion and constant weakness, others suffer from physical pain, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, cardiovascular problems, weakened lungs and brain damage. All of these alone are mental and psychological damage. Many of the patients who recovered were forced to leave. "Their workplace, and they have difficulty functioning and working - to the point where the heat is broken."

Following this, as stated, Arblich sought to recognize in an orderly fashion the damages of the corona for a disability pension.

"As far as I understand, no clear definitions have been set for recognizing suffering corona recoverers, for the purpose of determining disability percentages - and it would be right to assist them so that they can overcome the difficulties and return to them."

He said, "Setting criteria that will allow the recognition of recovering people suffering from serious side effects is required from justice and logic - since this is an unexpected event that happens in their way, and disrupts the lives of recovering people. In a way that will allow the determination of disability percentages, even if temporarily and the provision of benefits accordingly. "

Following Rabbi Arabich's request, the National Insurance Institute announced that the matter had been referred to the director of the disability department and the doctor of the National Insurance Institute, and that it would be examined in depth.
