Daraa-Sana
The trend of infections with the Corona virus within Daraa schools has returned to stability after a relative increase in the schools and towns of Sidon, Giza, Taybeh, Mothbeen, Nawa and Sheikh Miskin.
The head of the School Health Department in the Daraa Education Directorate, Dr. Marwan Hamed, told SANA reporter that the state of stability came after the strictness of precautionary health measures, including wearing masks, mitigating as many cases of overcrowding as possible, sterilizing facilities and classrooms, and directing educational cadres to the School Health Department to receive the vaccine.
And he indicated that the turnout for receiving the Corona vaccine has become average among educational staff, stressing that the governorate's schools have not witnessed, to date, any death from Corona, whether among teachers, administrators or students.
In a related context, Daraa Health Director, Dr. Ashraf Barmo, stated that the occupancy rate of care rooms designated for Corona patients amounted to one hundred percent for the third day in a row, and that the trend of injuries is on the rise, and the reason is the citizens’ negligence in applying precautionary measures, stressing that receiving the free vaccine contributes to reducing injuries.
During the past three days, according to the Ministry of Health, Daraa recorded 37 injuries, 12 cases of recovery, and two deaths.
