After a two-year hiatus, the “primeurs train” is back in service this Friday.
The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, will attend the departure of the convoy at 4:28 pm.
Composed of twelve refrigerated wagons, loaded with early fruit and vegetables from Spain and Morocco, the convoy will set off from the platforms of the National Interest Market (MIN) of Perpignan Saint-Charles.
After more than ten hours of travel, he will arrive at the MIN in Rungis, near Paris, at a time when the greengrocer sector opens its doors.

The new version of the convoy is reduced by more than half, with twelve refurbished wagons.
The number of its weekly rotations increases from six to five from November to July, during the peak of the market gardening season in southern Europe.
The daily departure from the Catalan capital is scheduled for the end of the afternoon with an arrival, at dawn, at the gates of Paris.
When it stopped in July 2019, after more than forty years of service, some thought that the "primeurs train" would no longer whistle.
