With more than 1,400 titles from its books issued in recent years, the Syrian General Book Organization is participating in the Syrian Book Fair, which will open at Al-Assad National Library next Tuesday under the title “Our Book is Our Tomorrow.”
Dr. Thaer Zain Al-Din, director of the authority, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the Syrian Book Fair, which is being held by the Ministry of Culture, is a smart and serious step in compensating for the Al-Assad International Book Fair, which was not held this year due to the Corona pandemic.
He pointed out that the Syrian Book Fair will witness the participation of private Syrian publishing houses, in addition to the Arab Writers Union and public institutions.
And he indicated that the books that the authority will participate in are diverse, starting from different genres of story, to poetry collections, theatrical novel, article, scientific books, thought, philosophy, politics, practical imagination, etc. Up to 60 percent of the cover price on all issues.
