The Observatory's Facebook middle pointed out that the cooler air associated with a cold front began to affect northern Guangdong last night and gradually expanded southward.

It is expected that the weather in Hong Kong will be significantly cooler tonight and tomorrow (22nd), with dense clouds and a few rain patches.

Tomorrow morning the lowest temperature in the urban area will be about 18 degrees, and the New Territories will be two or three degrees lower, and the highest temperature during the day will be about 20 degrees.

Blowing moderately to fresh northerly winds, strong winds occasionally blow offshore.

Looking forward to Saturday (23rd) morning is still cooler, the weather will improve early next week, and the temperature will rise during the day.

In terms of temperature in various districts, many districts in the New Territories also fell below the "2" after nightfall. As of 10 p.m., the lowest temperature in Sheung Shui, Tai Po and Ta Kwu Ling was around 19 degrees; in Tseung Kwan O, it was only 18 degrees.

Ngong Ping was also as low as 14.3 degrees, and Tai Mo Shan was only 10.7 degrees. Like 2017, it was the lowest temperature recorded in Tai Mo Shan in October since 2010.
