Berlin's Transport Senator Regine Günther (Greens) no longer wants to be a senator in the coming legislative period.
She was no longer available as such for the next state government, she announced on Thursday morning via the short message service Twitter.
“A personal decision - family reasons are decisive,” Günther continued.
Berlin - "It was a great pleasure and honor for me to be able to exercise this office." Whether and in what form she will remain politically active initially remained open.
Günther has been Senator for Transport since December 2016.
She does not belong to the Green Group in the House of Representatives.
