After Australia, New Zealand has just signed a free trade agreement with the United Kingdom.
After sixteen months of negotiations, the deal was reached during a video chat between the British Prime Minister and his New Zealand counterpart, Jacinda Ardern.

the Indo-Pacific region,

said Boris Johnson.

London has also signed an agreement with Japan, and this new treaty strengthens trade relations with a priority region.
It serves the British ambition to join the Trans-Pacific Free Trade Partnership (CPTPP), which brings together 11 countries in the region for a total GDP of 8.4 trillion dollars, before the end of 2022.
