Halina Hutchins, who was killed on a film set after being accidentally shot by actor Alec Baldwin, was considered a promising cameraman in the American film world • Actor Joe Manganillo ("True Blood") who starred in the film she shot, praised her: "She was an amazing person , Does not believe such a thing happened "• Actor Elijah Wood (" Lord of the Rings "):" Horrifying and shocking news "

Hollywood in shock:

Overnight The Chins were killed this morning (Friday) on the western set of the film "Rust" starring actor Alec Baldwin, accidentally shot her to death and wounded the film's director.

The Chins was born in 1979 in Ukraine, and grew up in a military base in the Arctic Circle.

She studied at the University of Kiev, from where she graduated with a degree in international journalism.

Before moving to the United States to fulfill her dream and become a film photographer, Chins worked as an investigative journalist for British documentary productions that operated in Eastern Europe.

In 2019 she was crowned as one of the "rising stars" of the world of film photography by an American photography magazine, and also participated in 2018 in the incubator of promising photographers of the well-known film studio "21st Century Fox".

Since entering the world of photography, she has worked mainly in small, independent productions, but as mentioned, her future seemed to be ahead of her.

Several big and prominent names in the industry have commented on her death, including actor Joe Manganiello (best remembered as Alcide from the "True Blood" series), who starred in last year's "Archenemy" film, which was filmed by Halina Hutchins.

"I'm in shock. I was lucky that Halina was the film's photographer. She had a huge talent and she was an amazing person," he wrote in a tweet he posted on his Twitter account.

"I do not believe such a thing happened. Shooting from a gun that served as an accessory in the production could kill a crew member? What a terrible tragedy. Libby goes out to her family."

I'm in shock.

I was so lucky to have had Halyna Hutchins as my DP on Archenemy.

An incredible talent & great person.

I can not believe this could happen in this day and age… gunfire from a prop gun could kill a crew member?

What a horrible tragedy.

The director of the same film, Eden Ajift Mortimer, also reacted in image to what had happened.

He shared a tweet he posted last year, with the release of the film, adding that "I was lucky enough to get to know her and work with her."

Elijah Wood, remembered as a prodigy from the first Lord of the Rings trilogy, also tweeted: "The news about the accommodation is appalling and shocking. My heart goes out to her family."

Absolutely horrifying and devastating news about cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.

My heart goes out to her family.

James Gunn, one of the most successful directors in recent years in Hollywood (who directed the new "Suicide Squad" and the first two films of "Guardians of the Galaxy"), tweeted that his biggest fear is that Adam will be killed on his set.

"I pray it will never happen. My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragedy, and especially to Halina and her family," he wrote.

Filmmaker Mike Flanagan, best known as the director of "Doctor Sleep" and the creator of the successful horror series "Who Lives at Hill House," "Who Lives at the Blair Estate" and "Midnight Ceremony," also tweeted about the issue, writing that his heart goes out to Hutchins' family and friends.

"This is shocking and terrible news," he wrote.

Another response also came from the AFI Conservatory, the academy of the American Film Institute, where Hutchins graduated in 2015. "Words alone cannot describe the loss of one of our community darlings. We here at the Institute will ensure that accommodation continues to live in the spirit of all "Whoever wants his dreams to come true through the stories we tell."

As is profoundly true in the art of cinematography, words alone cannot capture the loss of one so dear to the AFI community.

At AFI, we pledge to see that Halyna Hutchins will live on in the spirit of all who strive to see their dreams realized in stories well told.
