"We are only a district with 171 citizens, but we still belong", warned Felix Krahmer at the citizens' meeting, to which 100 people from Garching came with numerous concerns.
Kramer and three neighbors would have to make representations because the traffic through the over 100 registered businesses, but above all the lack of connection to public transport, is no longer acceptable.
Misleading traffic signs would be added.
“We don't even know how to explain correct and safe behavior to the children on the street and sidewalks,” said Krahmer.
There are also no crossing options such as traffic lights to get safely across Münchner Straße.

Mayor Dietmar Gruchmann replied that there was a lack of the necessary figures for both. A crossing would require up to 100 pedestrians per hour. That is not the case in Dirnismaning. The city also lacks the opportunity to act in order to reduce through traffic to at least 30 km / h. "I will of course work for that," promised Gruchmann.
There are also house numbers - there are no street names in Dirnismaning - where ten businesses are registered, delivery cars and heavy goods vehicles drive in and out. "Something urgently needs to be done here so that children in particular can recognize the possible dangers of turning," said Krahmer. His neighbor complained that “we are left behind from public transport. At least one bus has been running again since 2015, but only every two hours, which is simply not enough for the schoolchildren who would have to wait an hour at the bus stop in the afternoon as sensible, "but we are glad that the district is maintaining the line at all due to the low number of users".With the submitted and successfully acclaimed citizen application for an improved public transport connection, he will, however, present to the appropriate offices. The administration is also dealing with the application that a children's playground should finally be built in Dirnismaning, "but we don't have our own property," says Gruchmann.

The mayor justified his silence with "extreme annoyance" after Schneider not only damaged the barrels with a pickaxe, but also removed paving stones. "You have exceeded the limit quite a bit, Mr. Schneider!" Schneider did not find a majority in the citizens' meeting to move the bins. Gruchmann confirmed, however, that Garching was planning to move all collection points underground, “then we just have to start in Rosenstrasse. We currently have no money for these retrofitting measures. "
On the other hand, Gerda Maier could be satisfied.
The retired teacher pointed out the deteriorating swimming skills of the children, so "we urgently need a swimming pool".

Bathing fun for everyone is planned in the communication zone, "but we have no money for the construction costs of around 20 million euros," says Gruchmann.
