A cow has trapped its head between guard rails on a pasture in Bad Oeynhausen (Minden-Lübbecke district).
According to a police spokesman, officials first tried to push the guardrails used to lock the animals apart - in vain.
With tools, the fire brigade and the animal owner finally unscrewed the steel rails on Monday and freed the cow, which was slightly injured in the neck.
Bad Oeynhausen - The police assumed on Friday “that the cute meadow dweller wanted to reach the fresh green behind the plank out of hunger and put herself in the unsightly position”.
