Dr. Ahmed al-Kuzbari, head of the national delegation to the meetings of the Constitutional Discussion Committee in Geneva, confirmed that the delegation presented, during the sixth round, principles that reflect the aspirations and concerns of the Syrian people, and came with a sincere desire and a positive spirit to do everything possible for the success of this round.
Al-Kuzbari said in a press statement at the end of the round today, that the sixth round of the committee to discuss the constitution was held from the 18th to the 22nd of this month.
Al-Kuzbari added that since the national delegation was always keen to discuss the constitution among Syrians away from foreign interventionist agendas, it came with a sincere desire and positive spirit to do everything possible for the success of this tour. Al-Kuzbari indicated that the delegation entered into a serious and open conceptual discussion with the other parties during the current round, especially that the principles we presented reflect the aspirations and concerns of our people, taking into account the suffering and the terrorist war that the country has waged in the last ten years, indicating that the proposals made by some of the participants were listened to. Which, unfortunately, was separate from reality. Rather, it reflected in some aspects malicious ideas and hostile agendas, until some reached the point of legislating the Zionist occupation entity and justifying and supporting the illegal unilateral coercive measures that led to the impoverishment of the Syrian people and deepening their suffering, in addition to the legislation of the Turkish and American occupations.
Al-Kuzbari explained that the national delegation noticed, since the beginning of the tour, the insistence of the other delegation and its continuous attempts to thwart this tour and not enable it to come up with any result despite the diligent and national work and the effective contribution of the national delegation to its success, pointing out that despite everything that happened, our delegation returns to stressing To continue to engage positively in the committee's discussions in a way that leads not to compromising the rights, sacrifices and principles of our people.
