Actor Alec Baldwin first responded to the death of photographer Halina Hutchins this morning (Friday) in the set of the movie "Rust" starring him.
"There are no words to express my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that claimed the life of Halina Hutchins - a woman, mother and our highly admired colleague," Baldwin wrote on his Twitter account.

He said he "fully cooperates with the police investigation, is in touch with her husband and offers my support to him and the family."
The actor added: "My heart is broken for her husband, their son and everyone who knew and loved the accommodation."
The 42-year-old Chins was killed this morning on a Western filming set starring Baldwin, accidentally shot her to death using a gun that served as an accessory in the set and also wounded the film's director, 48-year-old Joel Cezanne.

Hollywood was shocked to learn of Hutchins' death.
Actor Elijah Wood tweeted: "The news about the accommodation is appalling and shocking. My heart goes out to her family."
Director James Gunn ("Suicide Squad," "Guardians of the Galaxy") tweeted that his biggest fear is that a man will be killed on his set.
"I pray it will never happen. My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragedy, and especially to Halina and her family," he wrote.
