With one-day, previously unannounced strikes, the union has been trying since the beginning of October to increase the pressure on the Association of Employers' Associations of the Transport Industry (VAV) to conclude a collective agreement.
At the end of June and beginning of July, the bus drivers had already been on strike for three weeks.
At the beginning of the new strikes in October, the VAV declared that the situation for companies in the private bus industry had not changed.
The state has promised funding for local public transport to refinance wage increases.
However, this must be called up by the respective transport associations and finally forwarded to the individual companies.
According to the VAV, the money has not yet arrived everywhere there.
