“Ignatz” caused an accident with a semitrailer on Thursday on the B318 near Warngau: The storm tore the roof of a truck trailer.
Heavy gusts swept over the Miesbach district during storm "Ignatz" - not nearly as violent as elsewhere, but strong enough for an accident: As the Holzkirchen police report, it is on Thursday around 11:30 am on the B318 near Lochham because of the storm low got into a traffic accident.
A 30-year-old truck driver from Manching drove his semitrailer on the main road from Tegernsee in the direction of Holzkirchen.
At Lochham, the entire roof of the semi-trailer suddenly came off due to the persistent storm.

It was thrown to the right against a large, adjacent signpost, the police say.
The sign and the profile support structure were severely damaged in the process.
Then the roof remained in an adjacent meadow.
Fortunately, other road users were not endangered.
Roof had been properly fastened
An inspection of the semitrailer by the police showed that the roof had been properly attached and had come loose due to the force of the wind.
The total property damage to the tractor-trailer and information sign is estimated at around 7,000 euros.
