The high number of corona cases in the Miesbach district is not without consequences: Now the Waakirchen community has canceled its citizens' meeting due to the infection.

- With 40 new infections, the municipality of Waakirchen was recently the sad leader in the corona statistics of the Miesbach district.
The city hall has now drawn conclusions: The citizens' meeting, which was supposed to take place on Monday, October 25th, in the gym of the Waakirchen school, was canceled at short notice.
"As a municipality, we have a mandate to act responsibly," said Mayor Norbert Kerkel.
In order not to expose citizens to an additional risk of infection, it was decided to postpone the meeting to a later date.
The new date will be announced in good time, they say.
