US President Joe Biden and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed on Friday during a phone call the efforts needed to strengthen Europe's defense, the White House said.
"President Biden looks forward to meeting President Macron in Rome later this month, where they will continue to discuss and examine the many topics related to Franco-American cooperation," the statement said.
