Wang Wenbin said that the British and American caring about the rights and freedoms of Hong Kong people is false, disrupting the rule of law in Hong Kong, and undermining Hong Kong's stability, lest it be true that Hong Kong will not be chaotic.

The British Foreign Minister said that he was deeply concerned about the disqualification of many district councillors in Hong Kong. China issued the "China United Nations Cooperation Position Paper" against pseudo-multilateralism. The Western District Councillors of the New Territories swear an oath.

The U.S. State Department issued a statement on October 21 stating that these district councillors were authorized by the people from free and fair elections in 2019, but the Hong Kong government arbitrarily decided that their oaths were invalidated, retroactively and targeted disqualified them as members, preventing Hong Kong. People participate meaningfully in autonomy.

The article called on the Chinese government to abide by the promises made to Hong Kong people in the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss posted on Twitter on October 21 that Hong Kong’s cancellation of the qualifications of some district councillors is deeply worrying.

She called on the Hong Kong government to maintain freedom of speech.
