Since Wednesday evening at the latest, everyone in Taufkirchen who has attended the citizens' meeting in the Ritter-Hilprand-Hof has known paragraph 1 of the road traffic regulations: Participation in road traffic requires mutual consideration.

Taufkirchen

- Mayor Ullrich Sander (independent) often quoted this, because for many problems that the citizens have with traffic in the village there is probably no other solution than that all road users pay more attention to each other.

Criticism of car traffic

Saskia Hahnenkamp, for example, is out walking and cycling with her two small children at Am Heimgarten and to the daycare center on Postweg. The street at Heimgarten could hardly be crossed, since cars and mobile homes were always parked there despite the lowered sidewalk. Wouldn't it be possible to create a zebra crossing there? And the mail route is much too narrow. If cars drive in both directions, pedestrians or cyclists have to constantly dodge into the field. “You don't feel safe,” says the mother. Especially since many are traveling too fast. Designing the post office as a one-way street has already been checked by the municipality, said building authority manager Stefan Beer. "But then many drive even faster." And for a zebra crossing Am Heimgarten there is a lack of prescribed user numbers. But they want to control more and write down illegal parking.Julian Kötschau criticized the fact that the Rathausstrasse is a play street “where pedestrians should be the focus”, but there are too many vehicles on the road and because of the many curves the street is confusing. He wants sleepers to slow down traffic. Sander wants to ask the residents about this - and repeatedly called for consideration.

A citizen suggested setting up a small passage on the traffic islands on the forest road near Oberweg so that pedestrians could stop there when crossing the forest road.

Sander agreed with her.

On the other hand, he did not think of moving the pedestrian crossing on Köglweg from the old people's home to Penny, where, according to the citizen, many more people would cross the street.

"You can expect pedestrians to walk a few meters."

Waiting for the retirement home

Michael Schanz wanted to know when there will be a binding set of rules for social land use in the village - as promised in the election campaign. The point is that the community can demand certain things from property developers when granting building rights, such as cheap apartments or building land for a new daycare center. "Only yesterday the local council received a proposal," said Sander with a grin. That will be discussed soon.

The new old people's home should finally move forward next year.

"We are currently waiting for the result of property negotiations," says Sander.

Also next year there should be a first round of public participation for a new land use plan for the community.

It is important to work out what needs to be taken into account when planning future construction projects.

At Pentecost 2022, the new primary school in the forest should finally be ready.

The spatial planning for the new middle school has just been submitted to the government, says Sander.

20 million debt

Building a school costs the community a lot of money.

She currently has 20 million euros in debt, around 1100 euros per inhabitant.

"It is still unclear whether this is the end of the flagpole," says Sander.

Otto Bußjäger, who had come as a representative of District Administrator Christoph Göbel, made hope that the district levy, i.e. what the community has to pay to the district, could decrease.

"The money is best kept in the communities."

Done a lot

The artificial turf pitch on Postweg, which is already being used diligently, has already been financed.

The street lighting was switched to LED, the roof of the gymnasium in the sports park was renovated and some of the annoying rooks on Waldstrasse were pissed off: of 196 breeding pairs there are still 62.
