Kassel - The 7-day incidence in Germany is currently increasing rapidly.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new Corona * infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Friday morning as 95.1.
For the first time since mid-May, he has exceeded 90.
For comparison: the previous day the value was 85.6, a week ago it was 68.7 (previous month: 65.0).
The health authorities in Germany reported 19,572 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.
A week ago the value was 11,518 infections.
This is evident from the figures that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 03:23 a.m., subsequent changes or additions to the RKI are possible.

Corona in Germany (October 22, 2021): RKI reports 116 deaths in connection with Covid-19
According to the new information, 116 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago there were 65 deaths.
The RKI has counted 4,437,280 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The case numbers of the RKI can differ from those of the individual federal states. One reason for this is the longer transmission routes between the RKI and the responsible health authorities. The RKI's Covid-19 dashboard can also be adjusted during the day.
Corona in Germany: Hospitalization incidence from Friday (10/22/2021)
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Thursday at 2.45 (Wednesday 2.34).
With the indicator it must be taken into account that hospital admissions are sometimes reported with delay.
A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.
The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,192,000.
The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,991.
