The ministry in Erfurt announced on Friday that anyone who had the first vaccination by November 18 would receive the follow-up vaccination by December 9, so that complete vaccination protection would be in place on Christmas Eve.

Then there is complete immunization at the turn of the year.
Although great progress has already been made, the current vaccination rate in the country is not yet sufficient to get through autumn and winter safely, said Health Minister Heike Werner (Linke).
She therefore calls for people to be vaccinated in November.
"Every Saturday in the Thuringian vaccination centers for the whole family is possible without an appointment," explained Werner.

The corona incidence value in Thuringia has continued to rise.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days on Friday at 74.9.
The day before the value was 73.6, on the Friday a week ago it was 51.8.
This means that the Free State is still above the national average.
Nationwide, the incidence value according to the RKI on Friday was 64.3.

Appointments can be booked via the central vaccination portal www.impfen-thueringen.de.
From November 28, 2021, only follow-up vaccinations, booster vaccinations and first vaccinations with a follow-up appointment in a contracted doctor's practice can be carried out at the vaccination centers.
