Two suspected drug smugglers were stopped at Frankfurt Airport with around 75 kilos of the chewing drug khat in their luggage.
Customs officials discovered the drug during a suitcase check, as the main customs office in Frankfurt announced on Friday.
The two 20- and 21-year-old men who were traveling from Tel Aviv via Athens were charged with violating the Narcotics Act.

According to the customs officials, all of the luggage contained only khat plants wrapped in paper.
The leaves and twig tips with intoxicating effects are forbidden in Germany.
The drugs were confiscated.
