The trees and branches had damaged power lines and caused the blackout.
According to the spokesman, about 55,000 customers were without electricity at the peak.
Kabelsketal - The districts of Spree-Neisse in Brandenburg and the district of Bautzen in Saxony were hardest hit on Friday.
The failure also affects the district of Wittenberg and the Saale district in Saxony-Anhalt.
