Whether stag ("the king of the forests") or roe deer ("self-appointed eco-hunters mobilize against deer") and now the chamois ("endangered population?") - the Bavarian Hunting Association (BJV) is quick to bring charges against foresters, when he sees his prey in danger.
The BJV strongly condemns this "campaign" against roe deer, announced the "state-recognized nature conservation association" just last year.
First and foremost, however, the hunting association is the lobby for private hunters.
And they want one thing above all - to hunt.
In peace and quiet, that's why they like to demand game rest areas and would prefer to ban other visitors from the forest.
And as abundant as possible, so wild animals have to be fed.
Whether the balance, the balance between forest and game (see letter to the editor below) is right, that is, the forest can naturally grow back, is only of marginal interest to some hunters.
The main thing is that your hunt is right.
