The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation announced early Friday morning that the human remains found in the northern state of Florida belong to Brian Lundry, the fiancée of blogger Gabi Patito, who was apparently murdered during a trip around the state.
The FBI announced that the tooth structure of the remains matched that of Lundry, who was wanted for questioning by the agency and police.
The young man's notebook and backpack were also found in Carlton National Park in North Florida.
It was further noted that the area where the finds were located was flooded with water the previous times it had been searched, which prevented the discovery of the remains.
A lawyer for the Lundry family confirmed that the body had indeed been found and that it was Brian.
He asked the public to honor the family in mourning.

On Tuesday it was reported that Lundry was spotted by security cameras in the northern state of Florida.
The person seen in the photos seems to have difficulty riding a bicycle, with a backpack that is large in size and is dressed in thick clothes.
Also, according to the landlord who photographed him, he tried to keep a low profile.
As a reminder, Patito's body was found in a forest in the state of Wyoming, in an area the two had traveled to before parting ways for no apparent reason.
The autopsy of the body indicated that the young woman had been strangled to death.
Several incidents in front of the police and with passers-by during August, indicated that the couple were in a crisis in their relationship.
At one point, police officers ordered to separate them for an entire night.
After that, Lundry came to Florida and stayed at his parents' house, until he disappeared in early September.
This morning his bitter fate finally became clear.
