The Frankfurt Book Fair opens its doors to the general public on Friday (9:00 a.m.) after the first two days were reserved for trade visitors.
Book sales are also offered.
Various authors are expected to attend live events, including Sven Regener, Elke Heidenreich, Bülent Ceylan and this year's Peace Prize winner Tsitsi Dangarembga.
Frankfurt / Main - Due to the corona, only 25,000 people are admitted per day, they all have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested (3G).
To avoid crowds, the entrance areas have been enlarged and the aisles between the exhibition stands have been widened.
The host country this year is Canada.
The fact that there is already a general visitor day on Friday is new.
Normally, the reading public is only allowed onto the exhibition grounds on Saturdays and Sundays.
In 2020 the Frankfurt Book Fair took place exclusively digitally.
