Kevin Chertok, a German citizen and permanent resident of Israel, was extradited to Germany yesterday (Thursday).
Chertok's extradition was requested by German authorities to prosecute him in the country, for fraudulent offenses and membership in a criminal organization.
Chertok was arrested in Israel about six months ago, on suspicion of taking part in a criminal network that deceived dozens of victims of German residents.
Following Chertok's arrest, the German government filed a request for extradition against the State of Israel.

At the request of the extradition, the network members who operated outside of Germany, turned under false names to potential investors who surfed to investment websites, presented them with fictitious investment channels and promised quick and large-scale returns.
In this way, the network members received sums estimated at at least six million euros, which they planned to launder.
Chertok's arrest was carried out by the Tel Aviv Israel Police Fraud Unit as part of cooperation between the German, Bulgarian, Polish, Swedish, northern Macedonia and Israel authorities, as well as the Eurogast and Europol organizations. One month after his arrest, the International Department of the State Attorney's Office filed a petition in the Jerusalem District Court with the declaration of extraditable Chertok to Germany.
In July, the district court declared Chertok an extradition bar to Germany.
Chertok did not appeal his declaration and as stated yesterday was extradited to his country.
