When school starts again on November 8th, stricter corona rules should apply in schools.
But they don't all go far enough.
Erfurt - Before the start of the autumn vacation, the Thuringian GEW chairwoman Kathrin Vitzthum was concerned about the time afterwards.
"We do not see the schools really well prepared for the still existing pandemic," said Vitzthum of the German press agency.

"Infections can be recognized if they are tested regularly," said Vitzthum.
The cabinet decided on Tuesday that warning level two should apply to all Thuringian schools after the holidays.
This means that there will be a test offer twice a week for the students who have not been vaccinated or who have not recovered.
Those who cannot be tested should be taught in separate study groups and not in class.
Vitzthum said she was wondering with which staff and with which rooms schools want to implement this.
Friday is the last day of school before the autumn break for around 250,000 students.
School doesn't start again until two weeks later, on November 8th.
