Fatal incident in the filming of actor Alec Baldwin's new film:
Two people were shot early (Friday) on the set of the western "Rest".
Among the injured was a 42-year-old woman who died from her wounds.
The New Mexico State Sheriff's Office said a gun was used in the incident on a set of photographs dating back to the 19th century.
Based on the initial findings of the investigation, it appears that one of the scenes involved the use of a gun from which a bullet was ejected.
As of this stage, investigators are investigating how the bullet ejection occurred.
Following this, the sheriff updated that Baldwin is the one who accidentally fired the gun.
The victim was first evacuated to a hospital in New Mexico, but doctors there were forced to determine her death.
The other wounded man is a 42-year-old man who was evacuated by ambulance to another hospital while being treated by medical staff.
Actor Baldwin is a co-producer and stars in the West as Harland Rest, a lawbreaker whose grandson is convicted of murder.
The film accompanies their escape after the grandson is sentenced to execution by hanging.
