After an incident at a demonstration by Fridays for Future in Nettetal in the Viersen district, the police identified a wanted driver.
According to Friday's announcement, the 33-year-old was in a hurry on the way to an appointment and had therefore driven through the demonstration.
They are now being investigated because of the dangerous interference in road traffic.
Nettetal - On Thursday the police were still looking for witnesses to the incident on September 24th, in which around 20 of the 80 demonstration participants had to move to the side because a car had driven towards the group.
Nobody got hurt.
Because there was also a political motive in the room, the state security police had taken over the investigation.
