District - Like so many others, Corona thwarted the Leonhardiritten in the region last year.

This year the traditional events will take place again in many places;

for example in Schongau, Rottenbuch and Wildsteig.

It is firmly anchored in the event calendar of the market town of Peißenberg - but for this year the Leonhardi trip, which traditionally takes place at the end of October, had to be canceled.

The Leonhardiverein Peißenberg-Ammerhöfe had no other choice due to the corona pandemic, the implementation of the major event was associated with too many risks, according to those responsible.

But other places want to dare: The Rottenbuch community will carry out its Leonhardiritt on November 7th.

Mayor Markus Bader announced this at the latest meeting of the municipal council.

Likewise, in Wildsteig you don't want to do without the traditional event.

This will take place tomorrow, Sunday, October 24th - as will the Leonhardiritt in Pähl.

On Leonharditag itself, November 6th, the rides usually take place in the towns of Schongau, Forst and Bauerbach.

Here, too, we are confident this year.

The plans for the Schongauer Ritt are under way, they want to carry it out, confirms organizer Franz Reßle.

The ride should be possible in Lechstadt, because there - as in Wildsteig and Rottenbuch - there are no more than 1,000 people with the parade.
